Pour 1 to 4 cups of water into the bowl. Distilled or natural spring water is nest, or you can catch / collect rain water. 

Allow the water to remain in the bowl for at least 4 hours, then use for all types of anointing / sanctifying purposes. 

I used as a font, to dip my hands in, and anoint myself before approaching Spirits, casting spells, performing rituals or ceremonies, meditating, etc.
