the wood piece came from a fallen branch that I found while hiking on a meditation journey. I was led to break off a small piece of the branch, and use my Athame to carve into a comfortable shape to hold. 

The stone was also found on the same meditation journey, on the shoreline of a small river. As I picked it up, it felt so natural to hold. 

Sitting close to a tree on the shore of the river, I held the rock in one hand, and the carved stick in the other. It became very clear that this stone and piece of wood were resonating as connectivity points of contact for nature... the element of wood, of earth, of the trees as a source of life, so alive... and the stone, emitting the essence of water, flowing, a vital essence...

I spent several hours with these two items that day, and since then have enchanted with additional spells... together, they are a pure source of the connected essences of the earth, of life, growth, flowing... holding the rock in one hand and the wood in the other, the elemental essences renew and restore life force energies, promote positive direction in life, and development of benificial growth. 

I have used these many times when dealing with problems, situations, seeking forus and clarity, strength, renewal of mind, restoration of body, and replenishment of spirit, 

Connect with the forces of nature by holding these two items at the same time, and becoming the conduit between them.
